I have a core memory from kindergarten when i saw these girls playing with squinkies, they had the disney princess ones and i asked if i could play with them. while they all got to have the cool princesses, they told me i could be cinderellas bird. i was so upset and when they got up to use the bathroom i took the Cinderella squinkie and the bird and threw the rest on the floor before making my escape. Still have that Cinderella squinkie to this day. Sorry girls. Edit: The squinkie do drops were also made from a different material, they were more of a hard(ish) plastic, not at all super squishy like the original

I was obessed with these in the 3rd grade, and I remember loosing my first squinkie. I was devastated. I have a group of Squinkies in a birdhouse, filled with Sanrio ones, mostly Hello kitty and her family, and friends.

I had so many Squinkies as a kid! I actually carried a drawstring bag (that would’ve had jewelry inside originally) to school with my Squinkies. I’m pretty sure they were my first fidgets now that I think about it. I had a ton of Disney sets. I know I had the Little Mermaid one, the Tangled one, and the Cinderella one. I also had an Aristocats one. Maybe I had the Princess set? I had a lot of random Squinkies too. I think we traded them at school and some of them were given to me as a gift. I remember in third grade that I would tie yarn around my neck and hook a Squinkies ball as the charm and have a Squinkie inside. Man, those were the days.

I remember back in elementary we had playtime every Friday. Each student can bring a toy or a game to play with. One of my classmates brought their ENTIRE Shopkins collection lol. She had so many!! I owned about 5 Shopkins in total, I got them as a freebie from a can of powdered milk😂. I sadly had to leave them on the miniature bedroom I made as a project in 4th grade.. I wonder if my teachers still have them.

Two things I remember that you forgot there were these family packs, so it was like and they were like the real Littles but they weren’t real brand they were just their own thing really but they were still Shopkins and like they were these families with Mom and Dad and Grandma, a brother and a sister, and all those kind of things and the other thing is you forgot about Shopkins live which I personally went to I have a signed poster from all the performers at the show I went to

29:08 yes! It’s great to see a toy company actually acknowledging the adult collector market. A great example of what NOT to do is rainbow high. They changed their theme to be about these ugly slime squishies, removed second outfits entirely and added glitter to them to appeal to kids when a large amount of their sales came from adult collectors. They’re not pretty unpopular (the glittery versions)
